Happy New Year! I hope you are doing well and have welcomed 2025 with joy, health, and renewed energy.

As we embark on this new year, I am deeply honoured to serve as the IEEE Region 10 Director for 2025–26 and to collaborate with such an exceptional team of dedicated professionals and leaders.

First and foremost, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Prof. Lance Fung and all the past Region 10 Directors and their teams for their outstanding leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment. Their contributions have laid a strong foundation we will continue building. Their tireless efforts have advanced our region and inspired us to reach higher goals.

As we move forward, our focus will be on two key priorities:

  1. Strategic Preparation for the 2028 Region Realignment:We will address the challenges and opportunities of the new R10 and R11 structures, ensuring a smooth and impactful transition through thoughtful planning and execution.
  2. Fostering Collaboration under One IEEE:We will strengthen ties across Sections, Chapters, and Affinity Groups, promoting unity and collective action to advance our shared mission.

Our commitments are as follows:

– Collaboration Across Regions and OUs: Let us continue building bridges and fostering partnerships that span across our diverse and dynamic region.

– Transparency and Inclusivity: Fair resource allocation, clear communication, and diverse representation will remain at the heart of our efforts.

– Empowerment and Growth: We will create opportunities for every member, from students to life members, to contribute, grow, and lead.

As we stand at the threshold of an exciting journey, let us move forward with unity, transparency, and a shared purpose. Together, we will build a stronger IEEE Region 10 that embodies the values and spirit of One IEEE.

Thank you once again for your dedication, leadership, and passion. I am truly excited to work alongside each of you as we shape a brighter future for R10 and the global IEEE community.

Wishing you and your families a prosperous, joyful, and fulfilling New Year!
